SINDA NICHOLS: Have Suitcase Will Travel

Acting Coach

Coaching actors of any experience level is a great joy for me. Whether I’m working with someone who is getting their first taste of acting training or someone who has tons of credits and training under her/his belt, I love guiding her/him on and along the path of behaving truthfully in an imaginary setting.

My curriculum comes from a long line of acting teachers I have studied with at Michigan State University, The University of Minnesota (BA) and Penn State University (graduate course work) and the Stella Adler Acting Studio in addition to numerous workshops, classes, not to mention or forget the many outstanding directors who cut me no slack.

Classes and one on one coaching sessions are available on the following topics:

  • Acting Best Practices: Concentration, Imagination, Relaxation, Observation, Listening and Understanding Dramatic Action
  • Auditioning skills & readiness
  • Character Discovery
  • Language & Text Analysis
  • Poetry Interpretation
  • Readers Theatre
  • Physical Techniques & Skills
  • Scene & Monologue Study
  • Vocal Skills & Health

Classes are geared toward the experience level of each actor. All levels of experience are welcome.

Students are encouraged to bring in scenes that they want to work on. This class gives actors the opportunity to explore and discover acting Best Practices in a safe, fun and supportive environment.
